The son of a Middlesbrough man found dead in his home has paid a heartfelt to his "hero" dad today.
Carlos Boyce, 36, from Middlesbrough, was found at the home on Homerton Road on Friday, November 11.
Mr Boyce was found dead at the scene, while another man was left with serious injuries resulting from the assault.
Since then, his family have released a picture of their loved one and his son has hailed him as "the best man in the world."

In a statement today, Mr Boyce's family said: "Carlos was a loving and doting Dad, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
“He was loved massively and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
“Carlos was described by his son as the best man in the world and that he was his idol.”
Cleveland Police attended the house after receiving reports of two men being assaulted, just after 5:30pm
Another man, aged in his 30s, was confirmed to have sustained serious injuries and was treated in hospital.

In a previous statement, a Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Boyce’s family and friends at this very difficult time. His family has asked to be left to grieve in peace.”
Since the serious incident on Friday, officers from Cleveland Police have been investigating and yesterday (Sunday, November 13) provided an update.
Officers have confirmed that three men, aged 37, 45, and 52, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
