A North East ambulance service has provided an update after a man was found dead in his home and another man was seriously injured.
Police attended a property on Homerton Road in Middlesbrough after 5.30pm last night (Friday, November 11).
They received reports that two men had been assaulted.
A man inside the address was pronounced dead shortly after.
Another man, aged in his 30s, was confirmed to have sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

The deceased man has not been formally identified and detectives are working to confirm his identity and establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service confirmed that another man had been sent to hospital following the incident.
They said: “We received a call to 999 at 17:19 this evening to an incident in the Pallister Park area of Middlesbrough.
“Police also attended the scene. We sent a a clinical care technician, a clinical team leader, a doctor and an emergency ambulance and took one patient to hospital."
