Police have cordoned off a North East B&M bargain store after one of the glass doors was smashed through.
Shoppers were met by a police cordon outside the major discount retailer’s store in Chester le Street on Saturday (November 12) morning with police tape blocking the entrance.

Dramatic images from the scene show how a glass panel in the entrance door had been smashed through.
Police tape blocked off the entrance where debris could be seen scattered on the ground.
Eyewitnesses reported the popular store being closed earlier on Saturday morning.

It is not yet clear when the incident occurred or exactly what happened.
