New pictures show scenes on a North East street after a 14-year-old boy was left fighting for his life after an alleged stabbing.
The incident happened shortly before 6.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 9) on Elswick Road.
Police were contacted by the ambulance service who were responding to an assault in the area.
It was reported that a 14-year-old boy had been injured following a disturbance and was rushed to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Officers immediately attended the scene and a full investigation has been launched to determine what happened.
Three males - aged 17, 16 and 15 – have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to commit grievously bodily harm and they remain in police custody at the moment.
A man and woman, both aged 40, were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and they are also in police custody.
Pictures from the scene show a police cordon in place as officers stand close by a long with their police vehicles.
