A shocking video has surfaced showing a white car crashing into a McDonald’s railing before hitting a passer-by.
The incident happened soon after 10pm on Sunday, November 6 at the McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant on North Moor Lane in Sunderland.
In the video, which has emerged on social media, the car appears to be frantically trying to exit the car park before reversing into the railings.
Soon after, it speeds forward before knocking down, and pushing a person into a bush.

A number of bystanders can be seen shouting at the driver, throwing rocks and kicking the car while it tries to drive away.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed that one man, aged 29, had been arrested in connection with the incident.
They said: “Shortly after 10pm on Sunday (November 6), police received a report of a collision at McDonald's on North Moor Lane in Sunderland.
“It was reported that a man was driving in the car park where he has collided with three other vehicles and a female pedestrian before leaving the scene. Thankfully the pedestrian did not require medical attention.
“The man – aged 29 – was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
A spokesperson for McDonald's said: "We are aware of an incident that occurred on Sunday evening in the Drive Thru at our North Moor Road restaurant. We are supporting the police with their investigation.”
