The youth accused of fatally wounding a boy in a North East park is due to appear in court today.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Newcastle Crown Court this morning.
He is charged with the murder of 14-year-old Gateshead boy, Tomasz Oleszak, who was fatally stabbed on October 3.
The incident happened near the Whitehills Nature Park, on Springwell Estate, Gateshead, and Tomasz died the following day.
Last month, the accused appeared in the same court where he spoke only to acknowledge his name and that he understood proceedings.
He was remanded into the care of the local authority and the case was sent to Newcastle Crown Court where he appeared today before the Recorder of Newcastle, Judge Paul Sloan.
The charge was not put during the ten-minute hearing, and the defendant’s counsel, Peter Makepeace made no bail application on his client’s behalf.
