A popular Darlington Indian restaurant will be relocating into a different area of the town centre next week.
Akbar The Great has announced online it will be relocating and reopening on Duke Street in Darlington on Monday (November 7).
The restaurant had confirmed it would be moving from Bondgate in a social media post last month.
Abu Raihan, 32, the owner and manager of Akbar, said he and his family are looking forward to welcoming residents to their new venue, and assured customers the quality of their experience will not change.

Abu, who lives in Darlington, said: "The team is the same, the team at Bondgate are all moving to Duke Street.
"So, the food will all be the same and everything.
"We've had a lot of enquiries on when we're opening, and now we can reveal Monday, 7 November is our opening night.
"We've had the people of Darlington and the surrounding area supporting us for three years, and we hope [they] still continue to support us.
"Thank you from our family to yours for your support."
Meanwhile, the old eatery will remain open until Saturday (November 5), before they close on Bonfire night where Abu plans to go out "with a bang on Bondgate."
The restaurant had been on Bondgate since 2019, but has since made the switch to Duke Street to make their business more accessible to customers.
Adding to this, Mr Raihan explained the key motivator behind the move was the street's nearby car parks which would make it easier for residents to visit.

Akbar is a family-run restaurant, and in addition to Abu's role, his father serves as head chef, his younger brother is a waiter, and his uncle is the cook.
It boasts traditional, authentic Indian food and provides a dining-in experience and takeaway service.
He said the menu will remain the same, with a few new additions, and will include dishes such as Nawabi Khana, Mumbai Korahi, and traditional Indian cuisine.
