Police have provided an updated statement after an incident in County Durham yesterday that left two people in hospital.
Officers from Durham Police attended a property in Ripley Court, Sacriston, at around 4.30pm on Wednesday (October 26) following reports of an alleged altercation taking place on nearby Front Street.
A police cordon was put in place around Front Street on Wednesday evening while police officers investigated, while specialist forensic officers were seen at the property on Ripley Court on Thursday (October 27) afternoon.
Following the large police presence in Sacriston, Durham Police released a statement in relation to the events of Wednesday afternoon.

Two men were rushed to hospital following an altercation and have since been released.
Three men and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident and remained in police custody.
However, in an updated statement, police have revealed that they have now been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “four people, three men and one woman, have been released on bail while enquiries continue.”
Durham Police ,yesterday moved to reassure residents that it's an 'isolated' incident.
A spokesperson for the police force said yesterday: “Officers would like to reassure residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection to it.
“Anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 280 of October 26.”
