A robber threatened terrified supermarket workers with a machete while stealing money and vapes from a town’s store.
Staff were threatened to hand over cash from the till during the incident at the Co-op supermarket in Dale Road, Shildon, on Monday at around 20:10pm.
The offender is described as a 5ft7 male wearing dark clothing with his face covered. He entered the store with the weapon and stole cash and vapes from behind the counter.
A review of CCTV shows the suspect exited the store in the direction of Dale Road.
