A Newton Aycliffe man is set to release his very first single - and he is hoping it could be good enough to hit the UK charts.
Jordan Coulthard, 23, is just weeks away from officially releasing his debut track, Miracle after months in the making and working with a big music name.
The new artist, who actually works as a police officer, has put his spin on the noughties classic 'I Need a Miracle' from music legend, Coco Star.

Reinvented at the turn of the 2000s, the song was later turned into 'Toca's Miracle' by Fragma and has grown to be a timeless classic.
However, the artist - who has branded himself as Coulthard - has again reimagined the song with influences from the likes of Tiesto and with his own vocals.
He told The Northern Echo: "Everyone will remember Toca's Miracle, it was a massive track back in the day. It was the soundtrack.

"My mum used to play it all of the time and I knew the artist, Coco Star, who sang I Need a Miracle before Toca's Miracle was produced by Fragma."
A rendition of the song was even played at his mother's wedding, further prompting him to do something with a song that "means a lot to him."
Working with Coco Star, Coulthard said he had never heard a mainstream male cover of the song and wanted to "bring it into the 21st century."
As a result, he tested different vocals before sending them to the British singer, only for her to give the seal of approval.
He said: "I had started with this idea and wanted to hear a male version of I Need a Miracle. I'd started sending her vocals and she just loved it."
Admitting that he had always wanted to release a song when he was a child, Coulthard said he had always dabbled in DJ'ing and creating music.
But only now has he had the opportunity to release not only his first song, but an album 'Back in 99' that will be released shortly after Miracle.
The song, which is due to be released on streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify on November 18, is expected to go out on the airwaves for the first time at 4pm on Friday, October 28.
Playing on Aycliffe Radio first, Coulthard said his biggest fan, his auntie, will be "extremely proud" as will his mother when they hear it play out for the first time.
He said: "My auntie has been playing it to absolutely everyone and my mam's proud but I think she'll be more excited when it's on Spotify."
"Hitting the top 100 would be a bloody dream, but the top 40 would blow my mind," he added.
The Northern Echo will bring you the official version of the song shortly before it is released.
