Several North East postcodes have won thousands on the postcode lottery in the past two weeks have been revealed.
More than ten communities in County Durham, Tyne and Wear, Teesside, and North Yorkshire have been selected for the £1,000 jackpot since October 10, meaning any players in those areas will have bagged the four-figure sum.

The People’s Postcode Lottery unveils daily prizes for postcodes around the UK including £30,000 jackpots for whole streets. Lucky players can also benefit from huge jackpots, with life-changing sums of money coming in after a knock at the door.

The People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.
A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity and players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.
