The star of a hit British TV series has given a ringing endorsement of a dog groomer, which she often visits.
Brenda Blethyn, leading lady of British crime drama Vera, stunned fans after endorsing Tidy Tails Dog Salon in Sacriston in County Durham.
It comes after the star seemingly confirmed she was a regular visitor to the dog groomers when she brings her pooch to the North East.
In a Twitter exchange, Blethyn delighted Sacriston residents after confirming this claim and heaped praise onto the business.

Blethyn, in her response to the fan online, called the dog salon a "terrific groomers."
And it seems reviews for the pet service are overwhelmingly positive, with the business currently sitting at a five-star rating on Google reviews.
One, when talking about the Schnauzer sprucing superstars, said: "The girls that own it are fantastic and always make a fuss of our dogs."
Speaking on their dog's visit, another said: "He looks fabulous, his ears are cleaned, his claws trimmed and he smells gorgeous. One happy owner and one very happy dog."

In September, Blethyn gave a progress update on social media as she confirmed filming was fast continuing.
Vera last aired in January and fans have been left eagerly awaiting the next installment of the series set to air later this year.
In response to a fan’s plea online, Blethyn said production on a new series was well underway and filming had wrapped on episode 50 recently.
It is currently on series 11, and the next season of the popular show is slated to air in 2023.
