New pictures have shown how work is progressing on a new Food Warehouse store, set to open in Bishop Auckland.
The discount retailer, which is owned by Iceland, is preparing to open two new stores in Country Durham in the coming months in Bishop Auckland and North Durham Retail Park.
Work is now underway at the Bishop Auckland site, transforming one of the units at the High Point Retail Park into the new store.

Pictures show the shop, which used to be home to Carpet Right, being given a total overhaul ahead of the Food Warehouse moving in.
Plans submitted to Durham Council reveal the shop will have a full glass frontage when complete. A huge sign will also be put up above the door to advertise to the store to drivers passing on the A688.
An opening date for the discount brand’s Bishop Auckland location is yet to be announced.
