Police are investigating a disturbance that saw given men storm a house and threaten the homeowners before the intruders made off empty-handed.
Officers at Northumbria Police are looking into an attempted burglary that happened shortly before 10am on Friday (October 14), which saw five males storm a property on Westbourne Avenue in Walkergate, Newcastle.
Specialist officers investigating the case have confirmed that nothing was taken from the house during the incident, but it left the occupants shaken.

It is believed those involved were wearing dark clothing and masks over their faces.
An investigation is now ongoing into the incident, including CCTV enquiries, and Northumbria Police are also appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
