Police have confirmed that they have found the body of a man in his 40s in the River Nidd near Harrogate on Saturday (October 15).
Specialist officers working for North Yorkshire Police confirmed that they'd found a body at around 8am this morning close to the Nidd Viaduct in Bilton after they were alerted by members of the public.
The police were quick to the scene and it's been reported that a police cordon has been put in place around the stretch of the River Nidd.

As part of their ongoing enquiries, the police have confirmed that the body is that of a white man in his 40s, but no formal identification has taken place yet.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Shortly before 8am this morning (Saturday 15 October) we received reports of a body in the River Nidd near Harrogate.
"We are in attendance at the incident close to the Nidd Viaduct in Bilton.
"The body is that of a white man, believed to be in his 40’s. He is yet to be identified.
"Please avoid the area at this time.
"Enquiries are ongoing and further updates will be provided when available."
