One man remains in hospital after a “disturbance” in Seaham which saw two men arrested and both requiring medical treatment.
Emergency services were called to The Avenue following reports of an incident at around 3.25pm on Saturday (October 8).
Over the weekend, clothes were seen strewn around the cordoned-off area while specialist officers from Durham Police began investigating.
The police force confirmed on Monday (October 10) that an 18-year-old is still in hospital while another man, 19, has been released on police bail as enquiries into the incident continue.

In a statement on Saturday, a spokesman for Durham Police said: "Police were called just after 3.25pm today following reports of a disturbance on The Avenue, in Seaham, involving two males.
"Both males, who are aged 18 and 19, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are receiving medical treatment. Part of The Avenue has been closed while officers carry out their enquiries.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 238 of October 8."
