Officers are appealing for information after a woman was attacked by a large bull mastiff dog.
The incident happened at around 1pm on Wednesday October 5, on the grassed area near to Redcar Town Football Club and the Trunk Road in Redcar.
The dog attempted to attack the lady’s Shih Tzu dog, then knocked the woman over and bit her.
The woman was left with an injury to her hand as a result of the attack.
The owner of the bull mastiff is a man described as around 6ft tall, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, with a grey beard.
He also had a Labrador and a small retriever type dog with him.
Witnesses to the incident, or anyone with information, are asked to contact PC Emily Goodall on 101 quoting incident number SE22178486.
