With getting on the property ladder more difficult than ever, we've taken a look at some of the cheapest properties in the North, using property site Zoopla.
With apartments and houses going for as low as £20,000, this could be your chance to become a homeowner.
We've found six properties across the North East and North Yorkshire, with asking prices ranging from £20,000 to £30,000 - though some will need renovating before they are habitable.
Still, the properties on this list are all bargains, making them great for first-time buyers and investors alike.
1. Links Road, Amble, Morpeth NE65
Price: Offers over £20,000
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom static caravan measures only 36f by 12f, meaning that you may be a little tight for space when inside, but for the estimated mortgage of £76 a month, who would complain?
2. Murray Street, Hartlepool TS26
Price: Offers over £26,000
The seller hasn't listed much information about this property, though we do know that it has one bedroom and one bathroom, and is within walking distance of schools and train stations.
3. Stephen Street, Hartlepool, County Durham TS26
Guide price: £29,000
This two-bedroom terraced house is described as an "investment property", and is currently being rented out for £500PCM, meaning it could be a ready-made addition to a property portfolio.
Be warned that the property is listed as "external viewings only" - and the property has yet to be inspected. The estate agent advises potential buyers to "make your own enquiries and satisfy yourself prior to bidding".
4. 19C Warkworth Crescent, Newburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, NE15
Price: £29,500
This one-bedroom, one-bathroom flat is located near the Tyne Riverside Country Park, in Newburn, making it a great location for an outdoorsy individual or couple, who still wants to be near the city.
5. Collingwood Court, Washington NE37
Price: £29,950
This one bed flat is located in the sought-after Collingwood Court, Washington, a community-oriented block of flats.
With a well-presented communal garden, a modern kitchen, and a balcony, this property is an absolute steal for under 30 grand.
6. Dovecot Street, Stockton-On-Tees TS18
Price: £30,000
In the heart of Stockton's town centre, this two-bedroom maisonette is in a prime location for access to shops, bars, and restaurants.
This is a fabulous property for investment - but, it will need a bit of renovation work before it is ready for tenants.
