Drivers in Consett are being warned that police have received reports of horses in running loose in the road.
Durham Police say they have received calls regarding loose horses in the Delves Lane area of the town this morning (Monday, October 10).
A Durham Police spoksman said: "Drivers, please be careful in the Delves Lane area of Consett this morning as we are receiving calls regarding loose horses on the road.
"Officers are just arriving on scene trying to get them secured."
