Police have confirmed that a man receiving treatment following an alleged incident where he was knocked off an electric bike died in hospital tonight (Sunday October 9).
An urgent appeal was made to trace two men in connection with what Cleveland Police said was being considered an alleged incident of attempted murder.

Officers named men aged 22 and 21 they wanted to trace in the wake of the incident in Grangetown, Middlesbrough, on Thursday evening.
But hours after confirming the arrest of both men earlier today the force issued a statement confirming the death of the casualty.
It read: "A 22-year-old man who was receiving treatment in James Cook University Hospital, following an alleged incident in Grangetown on Thursday evening, October 6, has sadly passed away this evening (Sunday October 9).
"Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
"The investigation has now become a murder investigation and two men arrested earlier today, aged 21 and 22, remain in police custody.
"A 30-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number SG22057971.”
