Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a manhunt.
Officers issued an appeal on Saturday to trace the individuals in their 20s in connection with an incident on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown at around 10:30pm on Thursday.
Cleveland Police say it involved a 22-year-old male rider of an electric bike who remains in a critical condition in hospital.
An updated statement from Cleveland Police on Sunday afternoon read: "A 22-year-old man who police wanted to speak to in relation to an alleged attempted murder in Grangetown on Thursday has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and will be interviewed.
"A 21-year-old man wanted by officers investigating an alleged incident in Grangetown on Thursday has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He faces questioning, and inquiries are ongoing."

A 21-year-old man previously arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed while inquiries continue.
