Two men have been arrested and are receiving medical attention, one taken to hospital with head and hand injuries after reports of a stabbing in a County Durham town.
The incident happened at The Avenue in Seaham just before 3.30pm this afternoon.

Durham Police tonight appealed for information for witnesses to the incident.
A force spokeswoman said: "Police were called just after 3.25pm today following reports of a disturbance on The Avenue, in Seaham, involving two males.
"Both males, who are aged 18 and 19, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are receiving medical treatment.
"Part of The Avenue has been closed while officers carry out their enquiries.
"It is expected to reopen later this evening."
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 238 of October 8.
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed it treated a patient for 'head and hand' injuries and the individual was taken to hospital.
There are reports on social media that someone has been stabbed, but these have not been confirmed.
Locals at the scene also told The Northern Echo a victim had been attacked this afternoon, but this has also not been confirmed.

The Avenue in Seaham remained cordoned off for several hours by police officers outside the William Hill bookies, where items of clothing were seen strewn across the ground.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We got a call from the police at 3.30pm this afternoon to alert us to an incident in the Avenue in Seaham.
"We sent one paramedic crew which treated a patient with head and hand injuries before taking the patient to hospital."
