A man has been charged following a spate of burglaries in Darlington last weekend.
Owen Trebell, 41, from Darlington was arrested on Wednesday following a review of CCTV in the town.
He has since been charged with three counts of attempt burglary and theft from a shop and has been remanded into custody.
Detective Sergeant Liam Robertson, from Darlington Volume Crime Team said: “In such a short time, officers have managed to not only identify an offender but arrest and charge him on suspicion of these crude burglaries.
“The team are dedicated in keeping the people and businesses of Darlington safe and are robust in ensuring offenders are swiftly dealt with.”
