Temporary traffic lights will be in place for a week to enable new gas pipes to be laid in a Middlesbrough road.
Northern Gas Networks (NGN) will be replacing ageing metal pipework with new, more durable plastic pipes, on College Road.
The work will start on October 24 and is expected to last for one week.
So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.
As of October 24, three-way temporary traffic lights will be in place at the roundabout of College Road and The Greenway.
While the majority of the work will be carried out in the street, engineers will need to access a small number of customer properties to complete the project and ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas.
Jack Hepplewhite, site manager for Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works.
"However, it is vital we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to the residents of Middlesbrough.”
