A man has sadly died more than a week after he was involved in a crash in Hartlepool.
Officers have confirmed that 38-year-old Martin Casey, from Hartlepool, died in James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough today (Thursday October 6).
Mr Casey was travelling in a white Ford Puma which was involved in a crash at the roundabout junction of Powlett Road and Easington Road in Hartlepool on Tuesday September 27.
His family today paid tribute to him, saying that he will be sadly missed.
Mr Casey leaves behind his mother, brother and sister.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts remain with Mr Casey’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
Police continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen the white Ford Puma being driven in the area of Easington Road from 11.30pm on Tuesday, September 27, to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 173953.
