Cleveland Police are looking to trace the identities of five football fans who attended the Middlesbrough vs Sunderland fixture last month, where violence escalated at the end of the match.
The game may have ended 1-0 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium, courtesy of a Riley McGree goal, but it was the fighting at the end of the match that marred the Championship match between the two teams.
Specialist officers and stewards could be seen separating sections of supporters just after the final whistle, with a few fans breaking loose and fighting with each other inside the stadium.

Thankfully, officers managed to bring the disorder under control - but Cleveland Police have now appealed for information to trace five fans they believe could help them with information.
Posting online on Thursday (October 6), the police force put a CCTV image of all five men they wish to speak to, alongside the message: "Cleveland Police are trying to identify these men who attended the Middlesbrough vs Sunderland game on September 5, 2022.
"If you know who they are, call 101, quoting incident number SE22156829."
