Police are appealing for information after an alleged rape in woodland on the edge of a County Durham town.
Durham Police said the incident is believed to have happened in South Stanley Woods, Stanley, on Saturday, July 16.
The alleged attack occurred sometime between 5:30pm and 6:30pm near to Pawsome Dog Park with the victim reporting being attacked by a man.
Officers want to hear from any members of the public who were walking their dog at the time who might have seen anyone near the river.
