A brand new burrito chain restaurant is set to open a branch in a North East city following a number of openings from other restaurants.
Tortilla, a popular chain restaurant that specialises in burritos and tacos, is set to open its new branch on Silver Street in Durham.
Work is currently under way on the site of the branch and pictures show the Tortilla branding on the door with images of people eating burritos and tacos flanking the entrance.
The restaurant chain was founded in 2007 and is widely regarded as the UK’s largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant group.

It has more than 60 restaurants across the country, including a branch in Newcastle.
People are able to dine in, self-serve, take away and click and collect their orders, offering the usual fast-food options.
Customers can purchase anything from a burrito, naked burrito and tacos, to sweet desserts and soft drinks.
The much-loved chain also gives customers the chance to build their own taco giving them the freedom to pick their preferred rice, beans, meat or veg, premium extras, toppings and salsa.
People can also apply for a job at Tortilla as the chain is advertising a number of positions as part of the opening.
