England’s largest living museum and much-loved North East attraction has revealed when tickets will go on sale for the much-loved and popular Christmas event.

Beamish will hold its Christmas Evenings on December 8, 9, 15, and 16 from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

Tickets for the festive event are set to go on sale from 10am today (Wednesday, September 21).

The event features classic festive activities and is usually hugely popular with tickets selling out quite quickly.

The Northern Echo:

Eventgoers will be able to enjoy savoury treats, Punch and Judy shows, and visit stalls in the 1900s Town to find the perfect gift and pick up all the “Edwardian essentials”, and take part in Christmas crafts.

Traditional festive music will be played throughout the day and guests can admire decorations and go on The Fairground.

People can also visit ElfWood where Father Christmas’ little helpers have created their own elf village.

You can also visit Santa in his Grotto at Rowley Stations Goods Yard, however, a small extra charge will apply and pre-booking is essential for this attraction.

Christmas daytimes are also set to take place at Beamish starting in late November

Tickets for Beamish’s Christmas Evenings are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for children aged two to 16 years of age, and £6 to visit Santa in his Grotto.

Beamish have revealed that dogs are not allowed at the Christmas Evenings, except for assistance dogs.
