THE fire brigade have rescued a hedgehog which had fallen down a hole outside a Yorkshire Dales hotel.
The brigade were called to the Punch Bowl hotel at Burton-in-Lonsdale, on the edge of the Dales, by the RSPCA at about 5.20pm.
A spokeswoman for the fire brigade said the animal has been rescued using "manpower".
She added: "It is believed the hedgehog was uninjured."
