Mystery surrounds the cause of a fire in County Durham on Friday night which caused huge damage to a County Durham caravan storage site.
Witnesses say the fire started at around 8pm on Friday night (September 16) at Auckland Caravan Storage in West Auckland.
The video which a witness filmed, shows trees in the foreground and the glow of fire behind them with thick black smoke.
Loud bangs can be heard as well which the witness referred to as 'gas canisters and tyres exploding'.

Andy Kitch, a security guard at Auckland Caravan Storage, told The Northern Echo: “All we could hear was some banging.
"By the time we realised it wasn’t just the noise of trailers being loaded, it had really taken hold and after that it was just exploding canisters and tyres.”
The Northern Echo has contacted County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, Durham Police, and Auckland Caravan Storage for comment.
