A woman was taken to hospital after being knocked over by a hit-and-run driver in County Durham.
Police are appealing for information following a “one-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in Barnard Castle”.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “The incident occurred on the B6277, The Sills Road, between Gill Lane and Ullathorne Rise at around 2.50pm on Wednesday (September 14).

“The vehicle involved, which is believed to be a dark-coloured transit van, failed to stop.
“A woman in her 50s was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with a hip injury.
“Officers are now keen to speak to any witnesses in the area at the time of the collision or anyone with dashcam footage.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call to 999 on Wednesday 14 September at 14:53 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the B6277 The Sills, Startforth in Barnard Castle.
"We sent a rapid response paramedic and an emergency ambulance crew and took one female patient to Darlington Memorial hospital."
