Empty shelves were seen today as a popular budget shop prepares to move to a new unit at a popular Darlington retail park.
Home Bargains will be moving to a new unit at Darlington Retail Park on Yarm Road, and the new store is set to be almost twice the size of the current shop.
Empty shelves have been spotted at the current store as the team prepares to move into the new unit.
Opening this Saturday, September 17, the old store will close at 8pm the day before (Friday, September 16).

Mainly the empty shelves were for perishable foods including meat and vegetables.
The new, bigger shop means more space for bargains and more space for shoppers to browse the varied selection of goods from bath mats to bread to children's toys.
More and more budget-friendly shops and supermarkets are popping up across the country as communities feel the squeeze of the cost-of-living crisis and turn to less costly alternatives.
Home Bargains previously told The Northern Echo that the company was hiring more staff for the new shop.

A spokesperson from Home Bargains previously told The Northern Echo: “We are delighted to announce that we will continue to invest in Yarm Road and the surrounding communities.
“Our current store will be closing on 16 September, as we will be opening a new store on the same retail park, on 17 September.
“The new look Home Bargains will be more than double the size of our existing store. This will give us the opportunity to showcase an even greater range of products and amazing prices for our customers, as well and being able to introduce our fresh bakery range.
“We will also be recruiting additional colleagues from the local community, with all jobs being advertised on our website at www.jobs.homebargains.co.uk.”
