Roadworks on a busy Darlington road have caused noise and traffic disruption over the last few months - and residents say they are losing their patience.
Work began on Woodland Road, a busy road into the town centre, back in March, prompting fury.
Cycle paths have since been put in place, however, the work is not yet complete.
The aim is to improve access for pedestrians and cyclists although until the work is fully completed they will not know how successful or popular it will be.
Although the majority of the work has now finished, some of the cycle paths are not complete and some parts are yet to be smoothed.
It comes as other roads in Darlington that have had ongoing roadworks have been Coniscliffe Road and the A167 at Beaumont Hill.

However, residents hit out after reportedly seeing contractors "digging" the road back up with work going on into the evening.
One said: “Does anyone know what's happening to Woodland Road now? They appear to be digging it all backup, huge machinery there now working, it's incredibly loud, no notification to residents so it looks like ANOTHER sleepless night.... absolutely outrageous!”
Another woman said: “It just seems to have gone on forever now. Hope it’s all finished soon because it’s never-ending.”

Claire Roberts said: “It’s been dead noisy and I think it was fine the way it was before to be honest.”
In response, a Darlington Borough council spokeswoman said: “The contractor returned on Monday night to complete a section of surfacing close to Hollyhurst Road that remained outstanding and also to carry out works for the first time at the entrance to the nearby nursery, which has so far not been touched.
“There was no removal of any previously completed surfacing during these works.
“We apologise to residents living close by for the disruption they experienced while these tasks were completed.”
