Several North East postcodes have won thousands on the postcode lottery in the past two weeks have been revealed.
More than half a dozen communities in County Durham, Tyne and Wear and the Tees Valley have been selected for the £1,000 jackpot since September 4, meaning any players in those areas will have bagged the four-figure sum.
The People’s Postcode Lottery unveils daily prizes for postcodes around the UK including £30,000 jackpots for whole streets. Lucky players can also benefit from huge jackpots, with life-changing sums of money coming in after a knock at the door.

NE13 7FZ – Hazlerigg, Newcastle
NE25 0ND – Holywell, Northumberland
DL13 5DJ – Cockfield, County Durham
NE12 6TH – Killingworth
TS26 9DL – Hartlepool
NE38 0DQ – Washington
DL7 9RN – Morton-on-Swale, North Yorkshire
The People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.
A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity and players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.
