Preparations are being made for the opening of a huge new budget shop at a Darlington retail park.
Bargain-lovers will not be disappointed as a much bigger Home Bargains opens in Darlington this weekend.
The current Home Bargains store at Darlington Retail Park will close this Friday (September 16) and the new store, also located at Darlington Retail Park but in a much larger unit, will open this Saturday.
The new budget-friendly store is set to be almost double the size of the existing shop, meaning more space for shoppers to browse.

A spokesperson from Home Bargains previously told The Northern Echo: “We are delighted to announce that we will continue to invest in Yarm Road and the surrounding communities.
“Our current store will be closing on 16 September, as we will be opening a new store on the same retail park, on 17 September.
“The new look Home Bargains will be more than double the size of our existing store. This will give us the opportunity to showcase an even greater range of products and amazing prices for our customers, as well and being able to introduce our fresh bakery range.
“We will also be recruiting additional colleagues from the local community, with all jobs being advertised on our website at www.jobs.homebargains.co.uk.”
The Home Bargins chain was set up in 1976 in Liverpool and sells everything from cleaning products, to snacks, to garden furniture.
