Mourners will be able to watch the Queen’s funeral on a big screen together in Newcastle’s City Centre.
The funeral, which is set to take place on Monday, September 19, will be shown live on the big screen in Old Eldon Square.
Newcastle City Council and NE1 have arranged the screening to allow the people of Newcastle to come together and remember the Queen together as they watch the service.

There will be some deckchairs available for those watching events on the screen.
The screen has been in place over the summer as part of the city’s programme of events.
The Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor Karen Robinson, said: “We have seen a huge outpouring of grief, both across the city and throughout the country following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
“People will have their own preference of how and where they will watch the funeral, but I am pleased they can choose to watch this together with others if this is their wish, and hopefully find comfort from this.”
