A crash on the A19 this morning led to tailbacks and lots of traffic in the Newcastle area.
The two-vehicle collision occurred this morning (Tuesday, September 13) just before 7am.
This had a knock-on effect when the A-Road got busier during the morning’s rush hour.
Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 7am today (Tuesday), we received a report of a two vehicle collision on the A19 northbound, just before the A1231 turn off.
“This was a damage only collision and no injuries were reported.”
