Emergency services have been called to a serious incident in the Horden area of County Durham this evening.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to Seventh Street just after 6.30pm.
Durham Constabulary was unable to provide details of what has happened but North East Ambulance Service has confirmed one person has been taken to hospital.

The incident followed a call to the same village an hour earlier.
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We have had a number of resources in Horden this evening as a result of two incidents in the same area.
"The first call to 999 was at 5.25pm for a person unwell at private address in the area to which we dispatched the air ambulance and two emergency ambulance crews.
“One patient was taken to Sunderland Royal hospital by road.
"A second call to 999 was received at 6.33pm to a police incident in the Seventh Street area to which we sent one emergency ambulance and took one patient to hospital."
