One of the UK’s leading shipping container businesses is opening its doors to members of the public .
Parsons Containers is to showcase its range of containers and the various uses they can be put to, and highlight its booming self-storage offer.
The company is hosting an open day on Thursday (September 15), where businesses and individuals are invited to visit the company’s depot on the A66 outside of Darlington to find out more about the business and its products.
Founded in 2000, the Parsons Containers Group has grown into one of the UK’s leading shipping container firms, with divisions that include container sales, and self-storage through U Hold The Key, one of the country’s most successful container self-storage brands.

The Parsons Containers Group operates on 12 sites in the North East and a 13th in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
The company’s head office is in Sedgefield, County Durham, but the main base of operations is on its three-acre depot and self-storage site on the site of a former service station on the A66 near Darlington.
During the open day, members of the public are invited to view the facility and the breadth of containers available to buy, ranging from 6ft mini containers to large 20ft containers in a number of conditions, including one trip, used and ex-hire. Members of the Parsons sales team will be on hand to discuss individual requirements.
Visitors on the day will be able to take advantage of a number of ‘Manager’s Specials’ and they will be able to view, pay for and collect containers within the same day should they wish.
In addition, people interested in self-storage for business or personal use will also be able to view the various storage options on offer and speak to members of the U Hold The Key team about the flexible terms available in Darlington and at the other sites across the North East. U Hold The Key facilities offer 24/7 access for customers and benefits from key fob access via electronic security gates, with the reassurance of CCTV security cameras on every site.
During the open day, the full Parsons team will be on site and people are encouraged to call in without obligation and view the container solutions and self-storage facilities available. Gates will open at 8am and close at 5pm.
