The Red Arrows flypast at this year's Great North Run has been cancelled and will not feature in this year's event.
Organisers have confirmed that the Red Arrows flypast and display has been cancelled due the passing of the Queen.
It comes hours after the Saturday event was cancelled as a mark of respect following the death of Her Majesty.
According to race-goers, an email was sent out to those taking part, confirming that the flypast had been cancelled while the countryis in mourning.
In light of the passing of Her Majesty, event organisers this week confirmed the Junior and Mini races would be postponed out of respect.
In a statement on Friday, organisers said that Sunday's flagship run would still go ahead as planned under "very special circumstances."

Elements of the runner and spectator experience will be subdued out of respect to the Royal Family, the Great North company also said.
Prior to this, the Red Arrows had been tipped to make their flagship return as they fly over the North East, spreading joy for miles around.

Where where they due to fly?
The famous jets were due to fly over the Tyne Bridg and is a sight well-documented in pictures and video.
They were due to make a second appearance at 1.45pm as they fly over the finish line in South Shields.
