- Plans for up to 1,550 homes at Sniperley Park are being considered by Durham County Council this morning.
- The council’s planning committee will consider whether to grant outline planning permission for demolishing buildings for up to 1,550 homes, a local centre, pub, primary school, “associated infrastructure and landscaping”.
- The plans are for land at Sniperley Park, near the A167 and B6532.
- The committee will also consider full plans for 370 homes and demolition of farm buildings near Sniperley Farm, and outline plans for “an extension to Sniperley Park and Ride”, as well as up to 80 homes near Valley Road, Pelton Fell and an energy storage facility near Thinford Lane, Thinford.
