After last year's Great North Run saw a drastic change to the route to ensure social distancing, this year the race returns to its traditional route.
Meaning that runners will run the half marathon from Newcastle Quayside all the way to South Shields.
To mark the return of the South Shields finish line, the Après Run Zone and new Finishers Marquee will welcome the thousands of runners.
With live music, pop-up beer and more, the new attraction will let athletes enjoy the end of the 2022 half-marathon as they relax and chill out.
But the Zone and Marquee will also let the party spirit continue as the thousands in masses celebrate their brilliant achievements.
The Après Run Zone will be the main spot for runners to rewind, recharge and revel in the buzzing environment where you can enjoy yummy comfort food and snacks.

There will be plenty of seating with the picnic tables, grass and more along with the Heart Radio DJ truck keeping the party going.
There will also be more music and good moods at the Finishers Marquee, with live bands performing and the Wylam Brewery pop-up bar.
Elsewhere at the finisher line, there will also be the Charity Village that is returning but also making a move to a new location.
The Village will be moving to the new location at Brents Park playing field just on from the Après Run Zone and Gypsies Green Stadium.
