SAM FENDER was at St James' Park this afternoon, soaking up the Tyneside atmosphere after yesterday's announcement of a mega-concert at the stadium.
The Geordie singer is a huge Newcastle United fan, and watched the Magpies' 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace with members of his backing band.
Fender soaked up the applause of the home support during the half-time interval, while his saxophonist, Johnny Bluehat played Local Hero, which is the tune Newcastle's players run out to ahead of their home games.
