Hundreds of homes are currently without power in County Durham this afternoon.
Northern Powergrid are reporting that a number of postcodes in Stanley and Bishop Auckland are currently being affected by an unplanned power cut.
The power cuts in Stanley started at 12.11pm this afternoon and is affecting 130 properties in Consett and surrounding areas.
The power cut in Bishop Auckland started at 6.40am this morning and is currently affecting 90 properties.
These are the postcodes in Stanley currently without power:
- DH9 8EB
- DH9 8DR
- DH9 8EA
- DH9 8SA
- DH9 8SB
- DH9 8DZ
- DH9 8DA
- DH9 8DX
- DH9 8DT
- DH9 8DH
- DH9 8DN
- DH9 8DY
- DH9 8RZ
- DH9 8HT
A further 90 homes are currently without power in Bishop at:
- DL14 0RW
- DL14 6NS
- DL14 6NR
Power is expected to return at 3.30pm this afternoon for homes in Stanley, leaving some homes without power for three hours.
Where’s power is expected to return to homes in Bishop Auckland at 5.30pm.
The news comes after a huge power cut last night affected hundreds of homes in Seaham, leaving them without power.

Large areas of Seaham were affected, with the cuts also reaching as high as Ryhope and parts of Sunderland.
The service says the power cut had been caused by problems with cables or equipment serving the area.
