A cyclist was rushed to hospital with cracked ribs and facial injuries after being hit by a car.
The incident happened at around 10.20pm yesterday (Thursday, September 1) on Yarm Road at the junction of Pennypot Lane.
It involved a Volkswagen Golf and a male cyclist aged in his thirties.
The cyclist was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with a number of injuries including facial injuries and cracked ribs.

The man remains in hospital receiving treatment at this time.
A 47-year-old man driving the Golf was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
He has been released under investigation while enquires continue.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Anthony Harrison on 101, quoting incident number 156681.”
