The People’s Postcode lottery is a draw that is followed by many across the region, with many hoping to be one of the many winners every week.

We’ve had a look at the recent winners of the draw and pulled together all of the North East postcodes that were successful.

The lottery is a subscription lottery which aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.

Players can sign up with their postcode and pay £10 per month with a chance to win when they are automatically entered into a draw.

Prizes are then announced every day of the month with prizes ranging from £1,000 to £30,000.

The North East hasn’t been short of winners either – in  July 2021 a County Durham mum-of-four celebrated a £750,000 postcode lottery win.

In August, a Gateshead street managed to scoop a cash prize of £30,000 per ticket when it was announced the NE8 1XT postcode had won.

Here are seven North East postcodes to win the postcode lotter in the last two weeks:

NE3 3NS – Won £1,000 on August 31

NE15 7LN – Won £1,000 on August 28

TS5 4NX – Won £1,000 on August 26

NE1 3HA – Won £1,000 on September 2

DL8 4JX – Won £1,000 on August 21

SR4 9HE – Won £1,000 on August 22

NE11 0AB – Won £1,000 on August 19
