It's not long now before thousands take to the streets of the North East to complete the Great North Run half marathon.
Seeing thousands of avid runners try and get their personal best and raise money for a local charity, along with elite athletes that are hoping to be named champion of the race.
But before the big day, there is a lot of information that you'll need to be made aware of so you can be prepared.
From parking, timetables, wave and start time, information points, baggage and much more.

What is the timetable for the Great North Run?

Parking at the Great North Run
There will be no official event parking at the start of the route, but there will be parking available at the finish in South Shields that opens at 6.15 on the Leas.
On the event day from 8, there will be parking in The Dragon (Brents Park) but has fewer spaces available than in previous years.
However, there are other public parking spaces available around the South Shields area.
People who are driving are being advised to park at the Metro Stations along the route and then take the Metro service to the start and from the finish.
What are the Wave and Start times at the Great North Run?
Your wave start time will be detailed on your personal running number, which will be sent out two weeks before the event.
Once you have received the number, you should have everything you need for the day and will not need to visit the information point to register on the day.
Instead, you just attach your number to the front of your top with safety pins and you should be all set for the day.

Where are the information points at the Great North Run?
This year there are two information points at the Great North Run for any last-minute queries.
With dedicated points for orange and white numbers (Town Moor) and another for green numbers (Claremont Road).
It is recommended that to beat the queues you should visit the information points a day prior on Saturday, September 10 from 8am, it will be located outside the Guildhall on the Quayside.
Where are the baggage points at the Great North Run?
This year the Great North Run has some new baggage point locations that runners will need to be aware of.
For orange and white numbers you'll find the buses near the Town Moor along with the entrance route to the start.
At that spot there will be 26 double-decker buses, all numbered to place your belongings, it's important to remember what bus you used.
Green number baggage buses are along Claermount Road where 12 double-decker buses will be waiting.
You will get a luggage label along with your number that you will need to fill in and attach to your bag.
To gain access to the buses you will need your run number to ensure it corresponds with the baggage label.
At the end of the route, you can pick up your luggage at the Gypsies Green Stadium via the Apres Run Zone.
