North East TV personality Scarlett Moffatt has thanked train staff for escorting her back to her hotel after she was followed by a stranger at London's Kings Cross station.
In an emotional video, the Bishop Auckland TV star warned people about what they put on social media after she said she 'stupidly and naively' posted publicly on Instagram about travelling to London.
She went on to say that when she arrived in the capital there was a man at the station waiting for her.
She said: "This guy came at me and said 'Scarlett I've been waiting for you, you're coming home with me'.
"And I was like, woah.
"Then I said 'no thank you' and walked off and then he followed me and was like 'Scarlett, Scarlett you're coming home with me, I'm taking you home with me'.
"Luckily the train guards have seen it, it was just outside Kings Cross station and they were like 'come over here, Scarlett hiya' - they were pretending I was with them.
"They walked with me to my hotel and I think it's just hit me how scary that was."
Scarlett went on to warn people about what they post on social media.
"You never know who is looking at your stories", she said, adding: "Please people, be careful what you're posting."
Scarlett, who shot to fame after appearing in the Channel 4 show Gogglebox, was tearful throughout the two-minute video and had to cut away at one point to compose herself.
She thanked LNER rail staff 'Danny and Neil' whom she described as 'legends' for helping her out of the scary situation.
