A day-long music festival is being held at The Buck pub in Reeth to raise funds for Saving Yorkshire's Dogs and Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team.
The free festival takes place on Sunday, September 11 and will feature more than a dozen acts between noon and 8pm, with The Buck donating 50p from each drinks sale to the two charities.
Musician and organiser Elizabeth Lobley said: “It kicks off with the Muker Silver Band at 12 then we’ve got a mixture of soloists, duets, bands - basically there’s 13 really good sing-along artists throughout the whole day.”
Elizabeth, who performs as the duo Liffy with her husband Neil, will be compering the event and said local musicians have rallied round to donate their time for free for the charity festival.
The event comes as Saving Yorkshire's Dogs prepares to open its first charity shop in Leyburn High Street next month.
The volunteer-led rescue charity has a set of kennels in the Yorkshire Dales and takes in dogs from council pounds, vets and the public.
Once in the charity’s care, dogs are assessed, rehabilitated and rehomed with suitable families.
The Saving Yorkshire's Dogs new charity shop is set to open on Leyburn High Street in mid-September.
